Celebrate the release of Litvar's highly anticipated third album, Being Here, before its official July 31 release on Mother West Records with an intimate hometown performance at The River Room in Willimantic. Born in Willimantic and built through years of relentless touring, Litvar has evolved into one of Connecticut's most compelling indie rock bands. What began as a lifelong songwriting partnership between Rex Thurstan and Violet Falkowski grew into a nationally touring act with the addition of drummer Joe Lemieux and guitarist John Blues McCarthy. Since releasing their debut in 2020, the band has earned more than 100,000 streams, signed with Mother West Records, toured extensively throughout the United States and the United Kingdom, recorded at the legendary New Monkey Studio in Los Angeles, and shared stages from intimate clubs to South by Southwest. Now, after spending much of the past two years writing and recording, Litvar returns home to unveil Being Here —their most personal and stripped-back record to date. Centered around acoustic guitars and emotionally honest songwriting, the album showcases a new side of the band while retaining the soaring dynamics and unforgettable hooks that have become their signature. Fans will hear new songs including "What Kind of Man" and "Yeah I Know," along with favorites spanning the band's acclaimed catalog. Praised by critics for their emotionally charged songwriting and explosive live performances, Litvar continues to earn recognition across the indie music world. Atwood Magazine described "Yeah I Know" as "a kinetic alternative rock rush" that "crashes through the chest with the force of a song you can't help but need," while Indie Music wrote that the band is "electrifying in concert," calling them "a chosen family in the truest sense." There's no better place to experience this milestone than where it all began.
