Connecticut has more going on than you think.
The 860 Life uses AI to discover, organize, and surface local events across Connecticut—helping people find things to do while supporting the businesses and communities that make the region special.
Mission
Why I built this
The 860 Life started with a simple frustration: finding things to do in Connecticut shouldn't be this difficult.
For years I found myself hearing about great events after they happened. A festival I would have attended. A trivia night I would have loved. A local concert, fundraiser, brewery event, or community gathering that somehow never crossed my radar.
The problem wasn't that nothing was happening. The problem was that the information was scattered everywhere.
Some venues post on Facebook. Others use Eventbrite. Some update their websites. Many rely on word of mouth. Even when great events are happening, discovering them often feels like a part-time job.
I built The 860 Life because I believe Connecticut deserves a better way to discover what's happening around us.
AI / Technology
Why we're different
Most event websites depend on people manually adding listings.
We take a different approach.
The 860 Life uses AI to continuously monitor venue calendars, event pages, ticketing sites, social listings, and community sources across Connecticut. Our systems read listings, identify duplicates, extract details, organize information, and keep events fresh automatically.
That means we can cover more towns, more venues, and more events than a traditional calendar without needing a newsroom-sized staff.
We're not trying to work harder than everyone else.
We're trying to work smarter.
Every improvement we make to the platform helps us discover more local events, reduce duplicates, improve quality, and connect people with experiences they may have never found otherwise.
860 History
Why “The 860”?
Because that's home.
The 860 area code was created in 1995 when Connecticut split the original statewide 203 area code. Today it covers most of central, eastern, and northwestern Connecticut—including Hartford, the Quiet Corner, the shoreline east of New Haven, Litchfield County, and dozens of communities in between.
The 860 Life follows the places people actually travel for food, music, nightlife, community events, and local experiences—not strict telephone boundaries. If it's part of the shared Connecticut experience, it's part of our world.

Community impact
Why this matters
Every event discovered is a local business getting exposure.
Every event attended is a community becoming stronger.
Every connection made is a reminder that Connecticut has far more going on than people realize.
That's why we're building The 860 Life.
