Jazz Takes on Bob Dylan
The 860 Life Take
Explore the fusion of jazz and Bob Dylan's songwriting in this three-session mini-course at the University of Hartford. Led by Javon Jackson, a jazz professor and director at the Hartt School, the series highlights Dylan's emotional honesty and social awareness through jazz reinterpretations. Jackson, who recently released an album featuring Dylan's work, will perform alongside pianist Matt DeChamplain. Sessions occur weekly on Wednesdays from 3 to 4:30 p.m., offering a thoughtful, in-person musical and educational experience.
