The Griswold Inn hosts A Taste for History — a festive weekend honoring America’s Revolutionary spirit through food, music, storytelling, and colonial-era traditions.

Friday features performances by the Sailing Masters of 1812 Fife & Drum Corps, Revolutionary Ale, “1776” burgers, sea chanteys, and historic wine pairings.

Saturday includes a candlelit Courses in History Dinner Party with live chamber music from Orchestra New England, appearances by historical figures including John Adams and George Washington, and a special birthday cake celebration.

Sunday concludes with a traditional Hunt Brunch inspired by the Inn’s War of 1812 history and an Author’s Tea with bestselling author Julie Gerstenblatt previewing her upcoming historical novel.
