Family Cruises and Activities at Connecticut River Museum

At the Connecticut River Museum, families can learn about and enjoy the great river with indoor and outdoor activities. Exhibits tell the history of the river from Indigenous peoples through the 20th century, and describe its environmental impact and uses. Outside, board the re-created 1614 sailing vessel Onrust for an afternoon or evening cruise or explore the ship at the dock. Also available is the 64-foot RiverQuest eco-tour boat for scenic tours. Cruises designed for kids and families include binoculars, nautical terms, and birdwatching opportunities.
