CHAMBER MUSIC CONCERT | Musick’s Recreation: At-Home Musick-Making in Colonial New England

Experience colonial New England's intimate musical traditions with Lyracle's chamber concert in the Webb Deane Stevens Museum's Waterman Room. This performance features mezzo-soprano Ashley Mulcahy and viola da gambist James Perretta presenting English songs and instrumental works typical of early American parlors. The setting—a small, resonant room overlooking the museum’s colonial gardens—offers a rare chance to hear music as it was originally intended: close and personal. The Webb Deane Stevens Museum, known for its historic 18th-century house and gardens, provides a fitting backdrop for this journey into early American soundscapes.
