Back to (Nature) Basics – Grades 5-8

Middle schoolers can unplug and immerse themselves in nature with this hands-on workshop at White Memorial Conservation Center. Designed for grades 5-8, the program covers map-reading, navigation, and wildlife and plant identification without relying on digital devices. It runs from 1:30 to 4:30 pm on Election Day, November 3, in the A.B. Ceder Room. Participants should wear hiking shoes, dress in layers, and bring snacks and water. Pre-registration is required, and financial aid is available.
